Andy joined Newquay Lions at the start of the millennium, 26 years ago as a way of becoming more involved in his local community. He runs a successful financial services practice in St Columb Major and has twice had the privilege of being mayor of Newquay. He is currently a Newquay BID Director, a trustee at Trenance Cottages and a trustee at Newquay Football club where he can be found most Saturdays during the season. He also enjoys time on his motorbike and time with his grandchildren.

Pete Harrison has been a proud member of Newquay Lions Club for 22 years, first introduced to the organisation by long‑standing Lions Bob and Lyn Morgan, close friends of many years. A retired photographer and finance broker, Pete now dedicates part of his time to supporting people with autism and learning difficulties within the local community. Throughout his time with Newquay Lions, Pete has served in several roles, including Club President in 2016. His long service, commitment, and impact were recognised in 2026 when he was awarded the prestigious Melvyn Jones Fellowship. Pete is looking forward to the challenge of once again serving as Vice President, and in due course, stepping into the role of President. His experience, compassion, and dedication to community service continue to make him a valued leader within Newquay Lions Club.

Peter has been a proud number of Newquay Lions since 2011. Having previously served as President, he is currently the Club Treasurer as well as LCI Zone Chairman for clubs between Penzance & Newquay. Peter has a passion for International aid having visited Lions clubs in Mombasa & Mumbai and taking part in aid convoys for Ukraine. Outside of Lions Peter is also a Trustee of Newquay Football Club and along with his wife Vanessa founded and ran Aid4orphans for 19 years, a UK Charity providing educational assistance and family support to children in Kenya along with working with various children’s homes. Before retirement to concentrate on volunteering, Peter was the owner of Cornwall Catering Equipment Ltd, a local company he started and ran serving the hospitality trade in Cornwall & Devon.
