Newquay Lions are thrilled to announce that Newquay Lions Community Carnival is returning for 2026 — and the countdown has officially begun.
After bringing the carnival back in 2025, the buzz, colour, and community spirit were incredible. Now we’re getting ready to make 2026 even bigger, brighter, and louder. This is Newquay’s major summer event, and we want you to be part of it.
🏃♂️ The Carnival Mile Race is back!
A fast one‑mile dash from The Fort Inn to the Barrowfields, kicking off Carnival Day with big crowds and big energy. Run it, race it, or cheer it on.

There are so many ways to join in — whether you want to take part, support behind the scenes, or simply help bring smiles to the streets.
You can:
Enter a float – businesses, clubs, schools, families, community groups
Join the walking procession – dancers, characters, costumes, mascots, performers
Volunteer on the day – marshalling, helping at the start/finish, supporting entries
Shake a bucket – help raise funds for local causes as the parade passes
Sponsor or support the event – great visibility for local businesses
Spread the word – help us grow Newquay’s biggest community celebration
