Newquay Young Citizen’s Award
For several years, Newquay Lions Club have celebrated the wonderful young people we have in the Newquay Area. We invite teachers and youth leaders to select a young citizen, for each age category, from their organisation, for our prestigious community award. We are looking for inspirational young people that show some or all of the following characteristics:
- Caring
- Communicative
- Cooperative
- Confident
- Considerate
- Courteous
- Courageous
The age groups are...
5 - 7 years
8 - 11 years
12 - 16 years
Newquay Lions Club Young Citizens of the Year
They can be selected from any youth organisation or school. This is not a competition, purely an acknowledgement of the many excellent qualities of young people in our community.
The Award consists of a special ceremony at which certificates and medals will be awarded. Newquay Town Mayor will be present. Parents and carers will be invited to the award ceremony.
We feel that we need to recognise and celebrate the good work and contribution to our community made by young citizens.
Newquay Lions believe this is a worthwhile award that recognises and encourages the positive commitment of young people in the Newquay area and the inspirational roles they can play.
